By assembling a package yourself from a wide range of products, you keep the freedom to choose something that is truly appropriate, instead of picking a standard maternity gift.
What is standard in a maternity gift box?
There is no fixed maternity gift box: you assemble it from our baby & kids collection. This includes brands like Little Dutch, Newborn Naturels, wooden toys, children's books, and baby clothing. On the maternity gift box page, you first filter by boy, girl, or mix, and then choose the products you want in the box.
This makes assembling easy and accessible: you don't need to know what "should" be in a maternity gift box; you simply build it yourself from products you find beautiful or useful. The examples below are a starting point, not a fixed formula.
Example package 1: for the little explorer
A combination of wooden toys and a children's book is a great starting point: something to look at now, and something for a few months from now. Complement it with an item of clothing from Little Dutch and you have a complete, playful package. This is a nice direction if you want to give something the baby will still benefit from in the longer term.
Example package 2: for the first few weeks
Think of baby clothing and a soft basic item, complemented by something from Newborn Naturels. Practical for the first period, and nice for new parents to be able to use right away. This combination is a pleasant choice if you prefer to give something useful rather than decorative.
Example package 3: the personal package
Do you want to add something specific, for example, a particular balance bike or another Little Dutch product not standard in the filters? That is possible by arrangement. Please get in touch and we will think along with you about what is possible, so that the package becomes just a little more personal.
This is also a great route if you want to give a package together with a group of colleagues or friends and the budget is a bit larger than a standard package. You simply discuss what you have in mind, and from there we look at what fits.
Can you add a message to the maternity gift box?
Yes, when assembling your package, you can add a free card with your own text. Great if you are having the package sent directly to the new parents and you cannot be there yourself when it arrives.
How quickly will the maternity gift box arrive?
You order online via the maternity gift box page and choose shipping or pickup. Within the Netherlands, we offer free shipping on orders over €50, with a delivery time of 1 to 3 working days. If you live near Gouda, you can also pick up your order in the store during opening hours on the same day—handy if your maternity visit is already planned soon.
