Shopping in Gouda feels different than in a large shopping center. The city center is compact, so you can easily walk from the Grote Markt to the Sint-Janskerk and back again. Along the way, you will come across all sorts of independent shops. You don't need to plan anything. Take your time, look around, and step inside wherever you feel curious.

Why you should walk down Wijdstraat

Huisje 44 is a home decor shop with a personal atmosphere. Marvin has owned the shop for three years, and you can immediately notice the love for beautiful things. Inside, you are welcome to view, smell, and touch everything at your leisure. If you would like advice, please feel free to ask. If you prefer to look around on your own, that is just as fine.

It is a shop where you will often find something just a little different than what you were looking for. A scent that reminds you of home, a vase for that empty spot on the shelf, or a small gift for someone you are seeing tomorrow.

What you will find at Huisje 44

In the shop, there are scented candles from WoodWick and Bridgewater and reed diffusers from Millefiori Milano. You will find silk flowers that we select with care and that stay beautiful for years, and leather home accessories from Chamada, such as trays and vases. For the little ones, there is Little Dutch.

If you love jewelry, take a look at our silver rings with real gemstones. They are made of 925 sterling silver and are adjustable, so you can try them on immediately. Opening hours and how to find us

Huisje 44 is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. You can find us at Wijdstraat 4, close to the Grote Markt and the Sint-Janskerk.

Are you coming by car? There is a loading and unloading area behind the Geldmaat near the small bridge. Pay close attention to the signs.
